ENGINE RUSNAS 500cc buatan Tegal-Detroitnya Indonesia
Dalam rangka kegiatan RUSNAS Engine, pada 10 dan 11 Februari 2009 bertempat di Kabupaten Tegal telah dilaksanakan pertemuan untuk sosialisasi dan diskusi tahap awal komersialisasi produk riset Engine RUSNAS 500cc yang berbahan aluminium paduan.
Pertemuan ini dihadiri oleh Tim Pengarah dari Kementerian Negara Riset dan Teknologi, Tim Supervisi dari ITB, Direktur Pusat Teknologi Material BPPT dari Lembaga Pengelola RUSNAS engine beserta tim pelaksana, Kepala Bappeda dan Kepala Sub-dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Tegal, PT. INKA, PT. ITM, PT. Nefa Global Industries serta beberapa Industri Kecil dan Menengah bidang logam yang berada di Kabupaten Tegal.
Pada pertemuan ini, Direktur Pusat Teknologi Material BPPT selaku Lembaga Pengelola dan Penanggung Jawab kegiatan RUSNAS Engine menjelaskan tahap awal komersialisasi Engine RUSNAS dengan konsep klaster industri (industrial cluster) Engine RUSNAS 500cc dimana Lingkungan Industri Kecil (LIK) Takaru, Tegal merupakan lokasi yang potensial dalam pengembangan klaster ini. Identifikasi rencana pengembangan klaster industri engine RUSNAS ini telah dilakukan, dimana elemen intinya adalah pembuatan/manufaktur engine yang akan dilakukan oleh PT. Nefa Global Industries dengan elemen pendukung yang terdiri dari BPPT, perguruan tinggi, institusi pelatihan, KNRT, Depperin, Depdiknas, Pemda serta asosiasi.
