Penjualan mobil nasional sumbang Rp79,50 Triliun untuk negara

Penjualan mobil baru di Indonesia pada 2010 yang mencapai 764.710 unit dan menjadi rekor tertinggi, telah memberi pendapatan bagi negara sebesar Rp79,50 triliun. Dari jumlah tersebut, terbesar disumbang dari Pajak Penjualan Barang Mewah dan Pajak Penghasilan Rp63,54 triliun, selebihnya Rp15,96 triliun dari Pajak Bea balik Nama (BBN) dan Pajak Kendaraan bermotor.

Jongki D Sugiarto, Ketua I Gaikindo mengatakan, sudah saatnya pemerintah memandang lebih serius industri otomotif Indonesia karena sumbangsihnya yang besar. Seluruh pemasukan yang diperoleh dari pajak harusnya diimbangi dengan pertumbuhan infrastruktur yang selaras.

"Masalah macet di Jakarta jangan industri otomotif terus dikambing hitamkan. Nanti kalau penjualan sudah dibatasi, ujung-ujungnya produksi terganggu dan akhirnya PHK (pemutusan hubungan kerja) dilakukan. Ini yang kita hindari," ujar Jongkie di Jakarta hari ini (25/1/2011).

Jongkie menambahkan, di Jakarta saja Otomotif menyumbangkan Rp7 triliun atau 65 persen dari total pendapatan asli daerah pemerintah provinsi. "Tapi, yang ada, otomotif malah terus ditekan dengan berbagai kebijakan kontra produktif," beber Jongkie.
